UJI TOKSISITAS AKUT (LC50) LOGAM KADMIUM (Cd) TERHADAP JUVENIL TERIPANG PUTIH (Holothuria scabra, Jaeger)

Sandfish (Holothuria scabra) is one of animal on the sea which has important economic value. This commodity has good prospect in intemational and local market. The contamination of heavy metal waste from industrial activity gives influencing to Sandfish in their natural habitat and cultivation location. The aim of this research was to know the level of heavy metal toxicity especially cadmium metal (Cadmium) to Sandfish. This research conducted using juvenil Sandfish which age > 50 days, length 1,9 cm and metal in the form of CdCl22H20. This research used acute toxicity test during 48 hours as the method. The result indicated that value LCso-48 hour for cadmium metal is 0,253 mg/1.
