The number of cases of mental disorders in Indonesia continues to increase and has an impact on decreasing human productivity in the long term. The most common mental disorders were hallucinations, withdrawal, low self-esteem and violent behavior. One of the most common mental disorders is the emergence of unusual behavior than usual, such as violent behavior or unnatural acts of violence. Violent behavior is a condition in which a person takes actions that can physically harm himself, others, and the surrounding environment (Ariani & Suryani 2018). Purpose: Describes the implementation of mental nursing practice which is focused on the implementation of mental nursing care with progressive muscle relaxation therapy on violent behavior problems. Ernaldi Bahar South Sumatra Province. Method: The type of method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The case study subjects used were three patients to explore the problem of nursing care in patients at risk of violent behavior at the Dr. Mental Hospital. Ernaldi Bahar, South Sumatra Province Results: Based on the results of the study, it was found that the three patients had the same nursing problems, namely violent behavior and anxiety, so an implementation strategy (SP) had to be carried out on violent behavior patients, then to overcome anxiety problems was done with progressive muscle relaxation exercises (ROP). The results of the implementation showed that the implementation strategy carried out and the provision of ROP was able to control anger in patients with the risk of violent behavior and reduce anxiety. The evaluation results obtained that the patient can control anger and reduced anxiety
