TINGKAT KEBERHASILAN PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT MANGROVE Rhizophora mucronata PADA PONDOK PERSEMAIAN DI KAWASAN TELUK PAYO KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, SUMATERA SELATAN

Conservation measures in the area of mangrove forest in South Sumatra Banyuasin needs to be done. In addition to its function and benefits are highly strategic and complex, as well as its existence is already very critical due to various human activities, so that the necessary concrete measures in order to preserve and restore the mangrove forest condition. One of them by way of mangrove nursery seedlings. This study aimed to calculate the percentage of survival rate and analyzes the growth of mangrove seedlings growth of mangrove seedlings of Rhizophora mucronata developed in the Gulf region Payo, Banyuasin regency, South Sumatra. Data was collected in October-December 2010. The observation was conducted over 3 months include plant height, stem height, total height, stem diameter, leaf number and percentage of growth and measurement of physical and Chemical conditions of the water. The results showed that the survival rate of Rhizophora mucronata mangrove seedlings at the nursery cottage was 100%. The average rate of growth of Rhizophora mucronata mangrove seedling stem height was 1.02 cm, bud 0.27 cm height, 1.29 cm height, stem diameter 0.01 mm and the number of leaves 2 sheet.
