APLIKASI TEKNOLOGI AMONIASI-FERMENTASI BERBASIS SERAT SAWIT TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN KERBAU RAWA

This research aimed to determine the effect of feed processing results in amoniasi-fermentation on the growth of palm fiber for swamp buffalo. The research was conducted in Rambutan village, Banyuasin regency during for 4 periods that each period of 10 days was started in June until August 2012. The Research used 4 male buffaloes, with an average age of 1 year and 185 kg body weight buffalo. The research’s methods used design of Longitude Cage Latin (RBSL) 4 X 4. As the line used 4 periods. As the lane were 4 head of cattle buffaloes, 4 types of feeds as a treatment, the treatment were given as, A. Forage (grass) + concentrates, B. Forage (grass + palm fiber) + Concentrate, C. Forage (grass + Amoniasi palm fiber) + Concentrate, D. Forage (grass + Amoniasi palm fiber fermentation) + Concentrate. Each treatment were given for ad libitum. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance with a Latin square design, and followed by LSD test. The results showed that added of Amoniasi -fermentation palm fiber were no effect on the growth of the weight of an ox. However, the results showed palm fibers can be used as animal feed buffalo.
