PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL INSTAGRAM TERHADAP GAYA HIDUP MAHASISWA SOSIOLOGI FISIP UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA

Lifestyle is all that includes a set of habits, views and patterns of response to life in meeting the needs of life. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence the use of social media instagram on the lifestyle of sociology students FISIP UNSRI Indralaya. The hypothesis in this study is that the influence of the use of social media instagram on the lifestyle of sociology students FISIP UNSRI Indralaya is high and significant between the two variables. This research uses associative quantitative analysis using survey method and one shoot modelapproach. The population in this study was the Sociology Student of Indralaya campus with a total of 468 with a sample of 82 students divided by class. Variables in this study were the use of social media instagram (X) and student lifestyle (Y). Data collection using questionnaires with likert scale. Testing analysis requirements using normality and reliability tests. The results showed there was a 0.670 influence between the use of instagram on the lifestyle of students based on the value of correlation coefficients fall into the strong category with a positive relationship and a level of significance of 95% so thitung ≥ ttabel or 8,064 ≥ 1,990. And the result of the determinant coefficient is 44.89%. Thus the proposed research hypothesis is accepted. Key words: Instagram, Life style, Student
