PRODUKSI GAS SILASE JERAMI SORGUM SEBAGAI PAKAN SAPI POTONG SECARA INVITRO

The aim of this experiment to study the production of sorghum straw silage gas as feed for beef cattle. This experiment was conducted in October 2018 at Feeding Nutrition Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Program Department of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry, Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University. The study was conducted in vitro with an experimental method modified by Abrar et al. (2015) and then the data were analyzed by T test (Stell and Torrie, 1995) with 2 treatments and each treatment was repeated 5 times. The material used is sorghum straw and sorghum straw silage as a treatment. The variables observed in this study were gas production, the concentration of methane gas in vitro. The results showed a significant difference in the level of 5% of the gas production produced but not significantly different from the results of the methane concentration obtained from this study.
