SURVEI KONDISI FISIK DAN MOTIVASI ATLET KARATE DI KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR USIA 16-19

This study aims to determine the physical condition and motivation of karate athletes Ogan ilir aged 16-19 years. This research is included in the type of descriptive research. The method in this study is a survey method using tests and measurements. The sample used was the karate athlete Ogan Ilir, totaling 20 athletes. Collecting data using tests and measurements using (TKJI) for children aged 16-19 years and indicators of athlete motivation using a questionnaire instrument Sport motivation scale-6 (SMS-6). The overall results of athletes are in accordance with the TKJI instrument that 1 female athlete is in good category, 14 female athletes are in moderate category and 5 male athletes are in moderate category and the results of athlete motivation can be concluded from the total motivation score on the motivation of karate athletes in Ogan Ilir Regency Ages 16-19 with the greatest frequency in high motivation with 7 athletes with a percentage of 35%, in the moderate motivation category with 8 athletes having a percentage of 40% and low motivation only 5 athletes with a percentage of 25%. Broadly speaking, there is an implementation of the physical condition and motivation of karate athletes in Ogan Ilir district aged 16-19 who can determine the level of physical condition and motivation that is good and right so that in the future they are able to implement the training program needed for the future. is the level of physical condition of karate athletes in Ogan Ilir district aged 16-19 generally in the high category and the for the motivation of karate athletes in Ogan Ilir district aged 16-19 are generally in the good category.
