PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN APARTEMEN MAHASISWA POST PANDEMI DI KOTA PALEMBANG

The design of this final project creates housing for students in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has a major impact on all sectors of life. Student apartments are here to accommodate student residences that are in accordance with the needs and protocols during the pandemic and even post-pandemic. The design problem is how to combine educational needs, social life and health standards during a pandemic. Through a post -pandemic architectural approach that seeks to reduce the spread of the virus in buildings by self-isolation, maintaining distance, and integrating face-to-face and online lecture systems. The post- pandemic concept is applied starting from vertical zoning, namely the reception floor (guest access limit) then communal residents as a transition zone and residential at the top which is accessed via an elevator with a resident access card. The orientation of the building is made longitudinally with the facade of the residential unit tilted 15° to the east-west, filled by large openings and balconies to maximize morning light and natural air in the residential zone. This type of studio apartment is designed for 1 person, besides that, a sterilization room is also provided in the communal zone. The circulation path of the building is designed to be wide and semi-open which is connected to the garden/rooftop. It also aims to restore green areas on the site. Thus, the design of this student apartment can answer the needs of student housing during or after the pandemic
