Zakat is one of the obligations of a muslim wealth has reached nishab, besides that zakat is also a tool that can be used to reduce poverty. Zakat in Indonesia has enormous potential because Indonesia is the largest muslim country in the world, so its very important to manage zakat collectively carried out by amil zakat institutions so that the benefits of zakat can be spread more widely. This study aims to find out how to manage financial perfomance and non-financial performance at state-owned Amil Zakat Institutions in South Sumatera. This research uses qualittave methods and uses sharia maqasid theory as an analytical tool. Research data were obtained using interview and documentation techniques. The result of this study state that BUMN amil zakat institutions have managed financial performance and non-financial performance following sharia maqasid, but several BUMN amil zakat institutions have not implemented sharia maqasid optimally in managing financial performance and non-financial performance
