HUBUNGAN REGULASI EMOSI TERHADAP PERILAKU AGRESIVITAS VERBAL SISWA SMA SRIJAYA NEGARA PALEMBANG

The late adolescent phase often has difficulty controlling their own emotions, this has an impact on these adolescents, so that they deviate from the prevailing norms such as verbal aggressiveness behavior. This research is a study that uses a quantitative approach with a correlation method that aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and verbal aggressiveness behavior of class XI Srijaya Negara Palembang High School students and is carried out by collecting Likert Scale distribution through google form. The population in this study was 120 students, then using probability sampling technique obtained 54 students as research samples. The data analysis technique in this study is using the Pearson product moment formula. The results show the relationship between emotional regulation on verbal aggressiveness behavior obtained a correlation coefficient (rxy) with a value of 0.276, and as rcount at the 5% siginification level of the number of respondents 54 students, then rcount> rtable (0.276> 0.268) so H0 is accepted and Ha rejected. This can be interpreted that between the two variables has a significant relationship, the correlation coefficient value obtained is 0.276. Thus it can be concluded that emotional regulation on verbal aggressiveness behavior has a significant relationship and between emotional regulation and verbal aggressiveness has a weak relationship. For the school, it is hoped that this research can be information as a reference for the school. Keywords : Emotion Regulation, Verbal Aggressiveness, Correlation.
