PERAN WORLD WIDE FUND (WWF) DALAM MENGINTEGRASIKAN PRINSIP-PRINSIP PARIWISATA BERKELANJUTAN DI PULAU KOMODO

The increase in the number of tourists on Komodo Island is the result of a series of complementary factors, including natural uniqueness, infrastructure development, effective promotion, and the influence of tourism trends and social media. Observing the situation in Komodo National Park, the World Wide Fund (WWF), one of the International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) in Indonesia, has been assisting the government in addressing issues related to flora and fauna. WWF plays a strategic role in conservation efforts on Komodo Island due to several factors.This research aims to provide an overview of WWF's role in integrating sustainable tourism principles on Komodo Island. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design as the most appropriate methodological framework. The focus is on the role of International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs).The findings indicate that WWF's involvement in integrating sustainable tourism principles on Komodo Island has significantly contributed to environmental conservation, local economic development, and cultural preservation while integrating sustainable tourism principles on Komodo Island.
