KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA FUNGSI LINEAR DAN FUNGSI NON-LINEAR DENGAN APLIKASI PHOTOMATH KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 2 INDRALAYA UTARA
The use of photomath applications supported by artificial intelligence has become an important innovation in improving students' understanding of the concepts of linear and non-linear functions in mathematics. This study aims to describe students' understanding of linear functions and non-linear functions with photomath application in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Indralaya Utara. This research used descriptive research method with quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were 20 students of class VIII.1 SMP Negeri 2 Indralaya Utara. Data collection techniques were carried out through written tests in the form of 3 description questions designed to measure students' understanding abilities in distinguishing linear and non-linear functions with photomath applications. In analyzing the written test data, the researcher described the subject's understanding ability in distinguishing linear and non-linear functions. The results showed that students' understanding ability in distinguishing linear functions and non-linear functions in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Indralaya Utara was categorized as good. The average student can fulfill the interpretation indicator. Students can identify the characteristics of linear and non-linear function graphs. Furthermore, the extrapolation indicator (extrapolation) students can make conclusions by distinguishing the two linear and non-linear functions. Another indicator of translation, students who can fulfill the translation indicator are students with very good and good categories.
