KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA PADA FILM GITA CINTA DARI SMA SUTRADARA MONTY TIWA DAN IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA

This study aims to describe the adherence to and violations of speech in the film Gita Cinta dari SMA directed by Monty Tiwa, based on Leech's politeness principles, and to explain the implications for Indonesian language learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a pragmatic approach. The data utilized in this study are the dialogues in the film Gita Cinta dari SMA. The data collection techniques employed include observation, transcription, free conversation, engagement, and note-taking. The steps for data analysis are as follows: (1) identifying utterances, (2) classifying the data, (3) analyzing and describing the data, and (4) drawing conclusions from the data analysis. Based on the analysis, there are 100 instances of speech in accordance or do not accordance with Leech's politeness principles. Among them, 76 utterances conform to the principles, while 24 do not. The results of this study can be applied to Indonesian language learning in the independent curriculum for Grade VIII junior high school students in the review text material.
