This study aims to analyze the media relations strategy implemented by the Public Relations of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD Secretariat in increasing the transparency of public information. Based on the results of the study, the media relations strategy implemented has been quite good through open communication, professional cooperation with the media, and the use of various information channels. Public relations not only provides open and timely access to information, but is also responsive to criticism and sensitive issues. This strategy includes three main dimensions, namely relationship management, communication strategy development, and network development. All three demonstrate Public Relations' commitment to information transparency, public participation, and constructive two-way communication. Although there are technical obstacles such as website updates and the unavailability of online complaint features, overall this strategy is able to build media relations that support sustainable transparency and increase public trust. Thus, the media relations strategy of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD Public Relations plays an important role in strengthening the transparency of public information.
