HUBUNGAN CONSCIENTIOUSNESS DENGAN JOB INVOLVEMENT PADA DOKTER DI BANGKA BELITUNG

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between conscientiousness and job involvement among doctors in Bangka Belitung. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between conscientiousness and job involvement among doctors in Bangka Belitung. The participants in this study were 109 actively working doctors in various healthcare institutions across Bangka Belitung. The sampling technique used in this studi was purposive sampling. The measurement tools used were the job involvement scale developed by the researcher based on dimensions from Yoshimura (1996), and the conscientiousness scale developed by the researcher based on dimensions from McCrae and Costa (1991). Data analysis was conducted using Pearson's product-moment correlation technique. The results of the analysis shwed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with an r value (r) of 0.763. This show that there is a significant positive relationship between conscientiousness and job involvement, suggesting that higher levels of conscientiousness are associated with higher levels of job involvement. Thus, the hypothesis in this study can be accepted.
