ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KALIDONI KOTA PALEMBANG
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a contagious disease caused by the Dengue virus and transmitted by the bite of Aedes aegypti or Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. In 2022, Kalidoni District in Palembang reported 908 DHF cases and 15 deaths, making it the area with the highest number of cases in Palembang. This study aims to identify the factors associated with DHF occurrences in the working area of Kalidoni Health Center. The study used a cross-sectional design with 107 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Bivariate analysis showed significant relationships between DHF and knowledge (p=0.026), the presence of larvae (p=0.000), draining water containers (p=0.001), and the availability of water container covers (p=0.001). Other factors such as education, occupation, clothing drying habits, and waste disposal systems were not significantly associated with DHF. Multivariate analysis revealed that the presence of larvae was the most influential factor in DHF occurrence (p=0.000, OR=8.204). In conclusion, the presence of larvae, knowledge, draining of water containers, and the availability of container covers are closely related to DHF occurrences. Kalidoni Health Center is expected to enhance DHF prevention programs, including distributing abate powder and educating the public on larvae eradication.
