OVERVIEW OF BROMAGE SCORE IN PATIENTS POSTOPERATIVE LOWER LIMB SURGERY WITH NEURIAXIAL ANESTHESIA IN THE RECOVERY ROOM AT RS DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG (Erina Felesia Salsabillah, 05th of December 2024, 68 Pages) Faculty of Medicine Sriwijaya University Background: Bromage score is a parameter used to assess the return of motor response in patients after anesthesia. It can also serve as an indicator of a patient's readiness to be transferred to the ward when the Bromage score reaches 2 or less. Both anesthesiologists and nurses need to be aware of the Bromage score in post- anesthesia patients, as previous studies have shown that several factors can influence the score. Therefore, research is needed to examine factors such as sex, age, ASA physical status, anesthesia technique, drug type, and block height to understand the Bromage score profile in patients undergoing lower limb surgery with neuroaxial anesthesia. Methods: This research uses descriptive observational research and the samples were taken using a consecutive sampling technique by paying attention to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data taken is primary data on patients postoperative lower limb surgery with neuroaxial anesthesia in the recovery room at RS Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Results: Bromage Score in patients after lower limb surgery with neuroaxial anesthesia in the recovery room at RS Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang showed that the majority of patients had a Bromage score of 3 with the majority patients of male gender (51.1%), aged 18-44 years (39.1%), underwent spinal anesthesia (58.7%), had ASA physical status I (70.7%), received local anesthetic bupivacaine (100%) with the adjunct fentanyl (83.7%), and had a block level reaching T10 (100%). Conclusion: The majority of patients undergoing lower limb surgery with neuroaxial anesthesia in this study had a Bromage score of 3 (76.1%). Keywords: Bromage score, Recovery Room, Post-Operative, Neuroaxial Anesthesia
