ANALISIS DETERMINAN KEBUGARAN JASMANI JEMAAH HAJI DI PUSKESMAS DEMPO KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2023

Physical fitness is a crucial aspect for pilgrims in performing Hajj. Many factors can affect physical fitness in an individual. This study aims to analyze the determinants that have an association with the physical fitness of pilgrims. This type of research is an observational analytic with a cross-sectional design using secondary data from the medical records of pilgrims who performed physical examinations at the Dempo Health Center, Palembang City in 2023. The sample of this study was 122 respondents. Data analysis in this study was carried out univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis with binary logistic regression test. A total of 57.4% of pilgrims had fair and good physical fitness. Partial binary logistic regression test, obtained p-value = 0.143 (OR = 1.720; 95%CI = 0.832-3.556) in gender, p-value = 0.002 (OR = 9.583 and 95%CI = 2.310-39.750) in age >60 years, p-value = 0.592 (OR = 0.756 and 95%CI = 0.271-2.107) in primary education level, p-value = 0.002 (OR = 8.611 and 95%CI = 2.191-33.851) on hypertension, and p-value = 0.267 (OR = 0.662 and 95%CI = 0.319-1.372) on abdominal circumference on physical fitness of pilgrims. Multivariate analysis found that age >60 years had more influence on the physical fitness of pilgrims (p-value = 0.022; OR = 6.089; 95%CI = 1.293-28.681) compared to hypertension (p-value = 0.016; OR = 6.028; 95%CI = 1.396-26.038). Age >60 years and hypertension significantly affect physical fitness in pilgrims.
