APLIKASI OZON MENGGUNAKAN METODE KOMBINASI ARCING PLASMA DAN DIELECTRIC BARRIER DISCHARGE (DBD) UNTUK PENGOLAHAN WASTE TRANSFORMER OIL
This research discusses the penetrating strength of waste transformer oil that is exposed using ozone. Ozone is produced from an ozone generator that uses 1/2 ball electrodes made of stainless steel with variations in gap distance of 1 mm and 2 mm. High voltage generation as a discharge source in the ozone generator with one of the main components of the flyback transformer. Ozone was measured using an ORP meter, at application voltages of 6; 7; and 8 kV for each gap spacing variation. The highest ozone concentration was obtained from the combination of plasma arcing chamber and DBD at a gap distance of 1 mm and a voltage of 7 kV. Ozone exposure to sample oil uses the chamber that produces the highest ozone concentration, where each sample is given ozone exposure for 60; 120; 180; 240; 300 minutes, and samples without exposure as control. The breakdown voltage test uses the IEC-60156 standard with a 350 ml test cell volume, a 13 mm diameter ball electrode system, at a distance of 2.5 mm between electrodes. The test results for the control sample showed an average breakdown voltage of 20.5 kV. For the breakdown voltage of ozone exposure samples 60; 120; 180; 240; and 300 minutes, 25.6; 39.6; 41.1; 44.1; and 41.9 kV, respectively. These results show that the samples experienced an increase in breakdown strength after exposure, the longer the exposure, the more the breakdown strength increased.
