PERANCANGAN SISTEM KENDALI DAN MONITORING SUHU OVEN LPG MENGGUNAKAN SENSOR THERMOCOUPLE MAX6675 BERBASIS ESP32
Manual temperature control in LPG-fueled ovens often faces difficulties in maintaining the required temperature stability during the heating process, especially in small and mediumscale industries. Temperature instability can reduce product quality and decrease process efficiency. Based on these problems, this study aims to design and implement a temperature control and monitoring system for an LPG-fueled oven based on the ESP32 microcontroller, which automatically maintains the temperature according to the specified setpoint. The research method includes the design of both hardware and software. A MAX6675 thermocouple sensor is used to read the temperature in real-time, then the data is processed by the ESP32 microcontroller to regulate the gas valve opening through a servo actuator integrated with a solenoid valve. The system is also equipped with a monitoring interface using an LCD I2C that displays the oven temperature condition in real-time, as well as a keypad for inputting the setpoint value and heating time. The test results show that the system can maintain the oven temperature close to the setpoint with an average error in the steady-state condition below 7%. At a setpoint of 60 °C, the average error was recorded at 3.1%, at 80 °C it was 3.68%, at 100 °C it was 5.14%, at 120 °C it was 2.28%, and at 140 °C it was 3.93%. The system can also adaptively respond to temperature changes, with the time to reach stability ranging from 210 seconds to 510 seconds, depending on the setpoint used.
