PENERAPAN KOMBINASI TERAPI AKUPRESUR TITIK DAN FOOT MASSAGE TERHADAP PERUBAHAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA KELUARGA DENGAN PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI DESA PERMATA BARU INDRALAYA UTARA
Background: Families are practical and real form of support, including instrumental, emotional, informational, and informative support. One common health problem in families is high blood pressure, or hypertension. Complementary therapies that can be provided to patients with hypertension include point acupressure and foot massage. Objective: To provide an overview of nursing care for family members with hypertension, as well as give information about point acupressure therapy and foot massage on blood pressure changes in patients with hypertension. Method: Method used a descriptive qualitative with study approach on three families with hypertension. Results: Data analysis on the three elderly patients obtained a primary nursing diagnosis was readiness for improved health management. The results of nursing interventions and implementations with including acupressure and foot massage, performed for 15 minutes over three consecutive days, obtained that after being given point acupressure and foot massage therapy, the average systolic blood pressure decreased from 144.6-182.6 mmHg to 127.3-152.6 mmHg, and the average diastolic blood pressure decreased from 94-130.3 mmHg to 83-97 mmHg. Conclusion: Point acupressure and foot massage therapy can relax stiff muscles, resulting in dilation of blood vessels, which can lead to a stable decrease in blood pressure
