PENERAPAN TERAPI BERKEBUN TERHADAP TANDA DAN GEJALA PADA PASIEN GANGGUAN PERSEPSI SENSORI: HALUSINASI PENDENGARAN DI RUMAH SAKIT ERNALDI BAHAR
Background: People with mental disorders not only face challenges from condition that they experience, but also have to bear the social burden of negative stigma, such as rejection, avoidance, and even physical violence that arise due to society's misconceptions about mental disorders. One treatment option for patients with hallucinations is gardening therapy. The gardening therapy aims to minimize the patient's interaction with his unreal world, release thoughts, feelings, or emotions so far that have influenced his unconscious behavior, provide motivation, joy, entertainment and divert the patient's attention from his hallucinations. Purpose: The purpose of writing this report was to provide an overview of nursing care for patients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations through the application of gardening therapy. Method: The writing of this scientific paper used a case study approach with a qualitative descriptive method. Results: After the application of implementation strategies (SP) 1-4 hallucinations and continued with gardening therapy there was a decrease in the AHRS score of signs and symptoms of hallucinations: Mr. A score of 37 (severe) to 20 (moderate), Mr. R score of 28 (severe) to score 16 (moderate) and Mr. E score of 28 (severe) to score 14 (moderate). Changes in signs and symptoms that were seen included a decrease in the frequency of hallucinations, patients began to be able to make good eye contact, showed a more cooperative attitude, and appeared to interact and socialize more often with their friends. Conclusion: A reduction in auditory hallucination symptoms can occur through gardening therapy, which minimizes the patient's interaction with the unreal world, stimulates thoughts and emotions that influence conscious behavior, and motivates joy and entertainment.
