EFEK WAKTU PENGELASAN TERHADAP SAMBUNGAN LAS PADA STAINLESS STEEL 304
The use of Stainless Steel 304 material has excellent physical properties and can be easily adjusted to meet requirements with the help of welding. With welding joints made of Stainless Steel 304, this study will create a specimen that will later be used as a reference for the durability of the weld joints made. The electrode used is of the same type as the material being used. In this study, the author conducted several tests to examine the strength of the material used to create the specimen, which is the weld joint of Stainless Steel 304. Several tests were carried out, including corrosion rate, hardness testing, and metallography. In this study, the weight loss method was used, where the difference between the initial weight and the final weight was calculated. Hardness testing is a non-destructive test in which the hardness value of a material or test specimen can be determined. Hardness testing was conducted using the Vickers, Rockwell, and Brinell hardness methods. Metallography is a combination of science and art that studies the microscopic structure of metals and alloys using optical microscopes, electron microscopes, or other types of microscopes. The results of the corrosion rate and hardness tests showed that specimen one had a stable graph line, but specimens two and three had the same graph line, which was far from stable. Considering the welding time obtained, specimens two and three had closely similar times. In the metallography test, all three specimens had the same results.
