ANALISIS TEGANGAN PADA RANGKA ALAT PEMERAS TEBU DENGAN METODE ELEMEN HINGGA MENGGUNAKAN SOLIDWOKRS
A sugarcane squeezer is a machine used to squeeze sugarcane and produce sugarcane juice. The frame of this squeeze tool has an important role in supporting and holding the load during the squeezing process. This stress analysis on the frame is necessary to ensure its strength and reliability. The finite element method is used to perform voltage analysis, using Solidworks software. Solidworks breaks down the frame into small elements and calculates stress and deformation throughout the structure. Solidworks is a 3D design software commonly used in the engineering industry to create 3D models, analyze the strength and reliability of structures, and visualize the results of the analysis. This study aims to analyze the stress on the frame of the sugarcane squeezer and assess the reliability of the structure whether the stress that occurs is still within the yield strength limit of the frame material. From the results of the study using Solidworks, the frame of the milling station during milling uses ASTM A48 and ASTM A536 materials. For ASTM A48 material, the maximum value of von Mises stress is 132 N/mm² with a maximum displacement of 0.0796 mm and a safety factor of 1.3. As for ASTM A536 material, the maximum value of von Mises stress is equal to 132 N/mm² with a maximum displacement of 0.0796 mm and a safety factor of 2.4. Simulations show that frames using A536 material have a higher safety factor compared to using ASTM A48 material.
