KAJIAN PERFORMANSI MESIN GENSET OTTO DENGAN BAHAN BAKAR PERTALITE DAN LPG
The use of set generators in Indonesia is still dependent on petroleum fuel as its primary fuel. The use of LPG as an alternative fuel is increasing in the industrial sector in Indonesia. In this study, it will use a converter kit as a replacement for a gasoline carburetor so that it can use LPG gas as a source of fuel. The purpose of this research is to find out the performance of pertalite fuels and then compare them to LPG fuels. Performance is meant to include efficiency, torque, specific fuel consumption (SFC) and thermal efficiency. An otto engine is an internal combustion engine that uses a hose as a spark of fire or flame and is made for gasoline and the like. Tests were carried out with variations in the load of lamps at 200 W, 400 W and 600 W. Test results obtained the best efficiency and torque values using pertalite fuel with an average efficient power increase of 1.01% and a torque increase of 2.63% compared to using LPG fuel. And the test results obtained the best specific fuel consumption value (SFC) and thermal efficiency with the use of LPG fuel with an average increase in specific fuel usage of 38.71% and a thermal efficacy value of 53.96% compared to using pertalite fuel.
