RESISTENSI KAUM MUDA MENGENAI TRADISI ZIARAH KUBUR PUYANG TUAN DI PULAU DI DESA ULAK BARU KABUPATEN OKU TIMUR
Resistance is an effort to resist in everyday life which includes several actions carried out by weak groups against dominant groups. The resistance analyzed in this research is also related to the resistance efforts in everyday life carried out by young people against the old regarding the tradition of visiting the grave of Puyang Tuan Di Pulau in Ulak Baru Village, East Oku Regency. This research focuses on the description of resistance, motives and forms of resistance carried out by young people. This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study research strategy and is analyzed using Scott's (1985) resistance concept framework. The results of this research show that; (1) The motives behind young people rejecting the tradition of visiting Puyang Tuan's grave on the island consist of five motives, namely; conflicting perspectives of young people and those of old peoples, reducing or eliminating claims to the meaning of grave pilgrimage traditions, the influence of modern, ancient or outdated lifestyles, as well as the influence of education and the social environment. (2) the forms of resistance carried out by young people are divided into two; First. Closed resistance involves being apathetic (indifferent) to tradition, isolating oneself, and rejecting it firmly.
