PENGARUH SERAT SINTETIS MAKRO POLYPROPYLENE TERHADAP NILAI KEKUATAN DAN PERILAKU TEKAN SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE (SCC)
Many innovations have been developed along with technology in construction materials. Concrete with good workability is known as (Self self-compacting concrete (SCC)). In many studies that have been conducted, using synthetic fibers can influence on strength and behavior of concrete. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of the use of polypropylene macro synthetic fibers with a percentage of 0%, 0.75%, 1%, and 1.25% on the compressive strength and behavior shown by the collapse pattern due to compressive load. The stages of this research are compressive strength testing, and analysis of collapse patterns due to compressive loads carried out by measuring the width, and length of cracks after compressive strength testing. The test of specimens used 15 × 30 cm cylinders and tested at 7, 14, and 28 days of age. The results showed that the addition of polypropylene macro synthetic fibers gave concrete compressive strength capabilities identical to normal concrete. Test specimens with 0%, 0.75%, 1%, and 1.25% fiber percentage at the age of 28 days had an average compressive strength of 30.04 MPa, 30.56 MPa, 30.86 MPa, and 32.06 MPa. Meanwhile, the increasing percentage of macro polypropylene synthetic fibers used can produce concrete with a better toughness than normal concrete with a collapse pattern in the form of a pattern and a smaller number of cracks.
