This research is entitled "Strategy of the National Narcotics Agency of South Sumatra Province in Overcoming Drug-Prone Areas in Palembang City". The involvement of the South Sumatra Province National Narcotics Agency is urgently needed to prevent the spread of drugs in South Sumatra, especially Palembang City. In carrying out prevention, appropriate prevention strategies are needed, as contained in the concept of crime prevention, namely pre-emptive, preventive and repressive proposed by Prof. Dr. A. S. Alam. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, using primary data sources and secondary data sources obtained in the research process. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research found that in implementing the strategy of the South Sumatra Province National Narcotics Agency there were also inhibiting factors, but the strategy was still implemented. The strategy implemented by the South Sumatra Province National Narcotics Agency is a soft power approach, hard power approach and smart power approach. Than, it can be seen that the strategy of the National Narcotics Agency can reduce the spread and abuse of drugs. In Palembang City. Keywords: Strategy, National Narcotics Agency, Narcotics
