STANDARDISASI EKSTRAK ETANOL TUMBUHAN DAUN PACAR KUKU (Lawsonia Inermis L.)
According to pharmacological studies, henna leaves are reported to have various activities, including antibacterial, antifungal, antitumor, antiproliferative, antiangiogenic, antileishmanial, hepatoprotective anti-irritant, antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, and antioxidant. In addition, henna plants are reported to contain phenolic compounds (isoplumbagin, esculetin, fraxetin, scopoletin and lacomarin), flavonoids (luteolin, apigenin, glycosides) and triterpenoid compounds (betulin, betulinic acid, hennadiol, and lupelol). This study aims to assess the quality of ethanol extract of henna leaves (Lawsonia inermis L.) as a herbal medicine ingredient. The extract was tested through standardization including shape, color, odor, taste, yield, phytochemical tests, water content, water and ethanol soluble extract content, total ash content, acid insoluble ash content, heavy metal contamination and microbial contamination. The results showed that the extract had the identity of the extract with organoleptic observations of the brown extract, and a distinctive odor, a yield of 19.79%, the ethanol extract of henna leaves contained alkaloid compounds in the Mayer and Dragendorf reagents, flavonoids, saponins, steroids, tannins, water-soluble extracts of 63.10% and ethanol-soluble of 62.44%, water content of 9.41%, total ash content of 5.09%, acid-insoluble ash content of 0.58%, Pb metal contamination test of 0.84 mg/Kg and Cd metal of
