ANALISIS STRATEGI PMA (PENANAMAN MODAL ASING) HYUNDAI DI INDONESIA DALAM IK-CEPA TAHUN 2020

IK-CEPA or Indonesia - Korea Comperhensive Economic Partnership Agreement is a new trade agreement that was inaugurated on September 27, 2022 which covers many fields, including investment. As the owner of the world's largest nickel reserves, Indonesia is thinking of ways to process and use nickel reserves. Hyundai as one of the largest electric car manufacturers in the world sees Indonesia's potential with its nickel reserves. The investment made by Hyundai in Indonesia will find out how Hyundai's strategy in IK-CEPA. Hyundai's strategy in making foreign investment through IK-CEPA using Dunning's Eclectic paradigm theory through three indicators, namely Ownership, Location, and Internalization. The research method used is a qualitative method, the data collected, collected through literature studies, research reports, beriya sources, and books. The results of this study are that Hyundai is eyeing nickel reserves in Indonesia and using IK-CEPA as a basis for obtaining them by investing in Indonesia, to build its electric car factory and battery factory as the main raw material for Hyundai electric cars, to expand Hyundai's market in the ASEAN region. With this, Hyundai's investment in Indonesia is considered successful.
