ANALISIS INSTAGRAM KPU PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI PEMILU PADA MASYARAKAT
The General Election Commission (KPU) of South Sumatra Province is one of the bodies tasked with holding general elections in the province of South Sumatra. Ahead of the 2024 election, as the election organizing body, the South Sumatra Provincial KPU should be tasked with providing election education to the public, one of which is using Instagram. This research aims to find out how to optimize the South Sumatra Province KPU's Instagram as an educational medium for the community. Research data was obtained from interviews, observations and documentation studies regarding the South Sumatra Province KPU Instagram as an educational medium using descriptive qualitative research methods. This research uses the circular model of some theory, divided into four dimensions, namely share, manage, optimize, and engage. The results of this research show how to manage Instagram as an educational medium for the KPU of South Sumatra Province by creating various content such as reels, photos, videos, infographics, flyers which go through a verification process for eligibility to be uploaded. Instagram monitoring is also carried out through the insight feature so that you can find out reach, follower growth, account engagement, and even the age groups that access Instagram. The lack of permanent use of influencers on Instagram has made the South Sumatra Provincial KPU present figures who have a special appeal to the public. Collaboration was carried out with government agencies and students in South Sumatra Province in disseminating election educational information to the public.
