ANALISIS GEOMETRI DAN DAYA DUKUNG TANAH JALAN ANGKUT TAMBANG TERHADAP KECEPATAN HINO 500 FM 260 JD PT MUSTIKA INDAH PERMAI LAHAT SUMATERA SELATAN
An ideal mining haul road should have an efficient travel time and speed, significantly impacting coal production. Achieving effective speed requires an optimal haul road geometry and soil bearing capacity that can support the haul vehicles, preventing road damage. PT Mustika Indah Permai has a haul road connecting WB 1 to the provincial road over a distance of 7 kilometers. This haul road has suffered damage, particularly in the section between km 6.1 and 6.0, which is a slope frequently requiring repairs. Road damage at PT Mustika Indah Permai, especially in the segment from km 6.1 to 6.0, has decreased the speed of haul vehicles. The speed in this section is only 4.91 km/h, often causing accidents where haul vehicles become stuck and require evacuation, disrupting traffic flow. This study aims to analyze the suitability of the road geometry and soil bearing capacity, as well as improvement efforts to enhance haul vehicle speed. The methods used include evaluating the road geometry with AASHTO and KepMen ESDM No 1827 K/30/MEM/2018 as standard also soil bearing capacity against the haul vehicle specifications. The study's results show that while the overall road geometry is relatively good, several sections do not meet the standards. Road improvements in the km 6.1 to 6.0 segment successfully increased haul vehicle speed from 4.91 km/h to 9.83 km/h, reduced travel time from 73,32 seconds to 36,62 seconds.
