Janah, Anisa Nur - Personal Name;

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that ranks among the top 10 causes of death in the world. Deaths from Tuberculosis globally based on the Indonesia Ministry of Health report in 2020 reached 1.3 million, an increase compared to the previous year (2019) which reached 1.2 million. 89% of TB patients are adults. The success of TB treatment is inseparable from the flow of diagnosis, the use of treatment regimens, treatment monitoring, recording and reporting, as well as treatment history. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between treatment status and previous treatment history on TB treatment success. This study was conducted with a cross-sectional design. The research sample, was post-treatment TB patients aged 15-54 years (productive age) who sought treatment at health facilities in Palembang City. The sample of this study amounted to 4,123 people. The sampling technique chosen was total sampling with exclusion criteria. Data analysis in the study was Chi Square test. The P-value of treatment status was 0.000 and previous treatment history was 0.001, so there was an association between treatment status and previous treatment history on the success rate. The study did not include the type of TB diagnosis and also the length of treatment, future studies can examine other variables, such as the role of PMO, BCG immunization status, etc.
