ANALISIS REPRESENTASI FEMINIS PADA AKUN INSTAGRAM @MAGDALENEID
This research departs from the social reality that patriarchal constructions have long positioned women in a subordinate role, causing their voices and representations to be marginalized, including in the media. The purpose of this study is to analyze feminist representation in challenging patriarchal domination through the content of the Instagram account @magdaleneid and to identify the forms of discourse it presents. This research employs a qualitative method with Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach, which emphasizes the relationship between text, social cognition, and social context. Data were collected through content observation, literature review, and documentation, and then analyzed by examining macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure. The main findings reveal that @magdaleneid consistently presents intersectional feminist narratives that criticize issues such as femicide, gender-biased policies, and domestic role stereotypes in the media. The uploaded content is not only informative but also creates a digital advocacy space that fosters collective awareness and public engagement. In conclusion, social media can serve as a strategic arena for feminist movements to challenge structural injustices and strengthen women’s participation. The implication of this study highlights the importance of digital media as a means of critical education and gender equality advocacy in Indonesia.
