PENERAPAN PERMAINAN FIDGET SPINNER UNTUK MENGATASI MASALAH NYERI AKUT PADA ANAK DENGAN FRAKTUR DI RUANG LAKITAN 1.2 RSMH PALEMBANG
Background: Fractures in children often cause acute pain that affects both physical and emotional conditions. Non-pharmacological pain management, such as disctraction techniques, is considered a safe and effective approach. The fidget spinner, a simple spinning toy, serves as a distraction tool that can help divert childrens attention away from pain sensations. Objective: to determine the effectiveness of distraction therapy using a fidget spinner in reducing pain intensity among children with fractures. Method: this descriptive case study was conducted on three pediatric patients with fractures in Lakitan room 1.2 at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang. Nursing care interventions included distraction therapy using a fidget spinner administered for three consecutive days. Results: the analysis showed that all three children experienced the same main nursing problem-acute pain. After the implementation of distraction therapy with a fidget spinner, the avarage pain scale decreased among all managed patients. The pain scale before the intervention was 4, and after the intervention, it decreased to 2-3. The children appeared calmer, more cooperative and less anxious. Conclusion: fidget spinner distraction therapy is effective in reducing pain intensity and improving comfort levels inpediatric patients with fractures.
