This study explores the role of religious policy in addressing the mental health and well-being of Rohingya refugees by integrating spiritual counseling approaches. Utilizing a qualitative approach with document analysis and literature review, this research examines current policies and practices regarding refugee care and the potential for incorporating spiritual counseling models rooted in Islamic teachings. The findings indicate that while existing policies address basic humanitarian needs, they often overlook the profound spiritual and psychological distress experienced by the refugees due to trauma, displacement, and loss. The study proposes a framework for a religious policy that institutionalizes spiritual counseling, emphasizing tawakkul (reliance on God), sabr (patience), and shukr (gratitude) as core therapeutic components. This approach not only respects the cultural and religious background of the Rohingya but also offers a holistic method for resilience building and mental health recovery. Implementing this policy requires collaboration between religious leaders, government agencies, and humanitarian organizations to ensure culturally sensitive and effective psychological support. This research suggests that integrating spiritual counseling into religious policy offers a more comprehensive and sustainable solution for handling the protracted displacement crisis of the Rohingya refugees.
