HUBUNGAN JUMLAH LEUKOSIT DAN HITUNG JENIS NEUTROFIL DENGAN TINGKAT PERADANGAN PADA PASIEN APENDISITIS AKUT DAN KRONIS

Appendicitis is an inflammation of the vermiform appendix that requires immediate surgery. Leukocytes, particularly neutrophils, are blood cells that play a role in the inflammatory response. This study aims to analyze the relationship between leukocyte count and neutrophil differential count with pathological anatomy results as indicators of inflammation levels in patients with acute and chronic appendicitis. This is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The data used were secondary data from medical records. In this study, from 46 samples most patients with both acute and chronic appendicitis experienced leukocytosis and neutrophilia. The analysis revealed a significant relationship between leukocyte count and neutrophil differential count with the degree of inflammation in patients with acute and chronic appendicitis. There is a significant relationship between leukocyte count, neutrophil differential count, and the degree of inflammation in patients with acute and chronic appendicitis.
