PROFIL FAKTOR RISIKO OSTEOARTHRITIS LUTUT DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2023
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative disease characterized by the formation of osteophytes, thinning of the subchondral plates, and loss of cartilage in the articular joints. Risk factors for knee OA can include, age, gender, obesity, weight-heavy work, and a history of comorbidities. This study is an observational descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of patients who had knee pain and had been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, which were taken from medical records at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang, in accordance with the inclusion criteria, using a total sampling technique. There were 133 samples that met the inclusion criteria. The sociodemographic characteristics of patients were obtained with the highest percentage of patients 55-65 years old amounting to 68 people (51.1%), female gender amounting to 109 people (82%), the most occupation being housewives amounting to 64 people (48.1%). The frequency distribution of patients based on the knee involved, it was found that 98 (73.7%) experienced bilateral OA of the knee involved. Based on nutritional status, BMI is the most overweight amounting to 47 (35.3%). Based on the history of comorbid diseases, the most people with hypertension were 82 people (61.7%). Knee OA patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital in 2023 are dominated by people aged 55-65 years, women, working as IRTs, bilateral knees, and a history of previous diseases with the most hypertension.
