KORELASI NILAI SEL MONONUKLEAR DAN ENZIM ADENOSINE DEAMINASE PADA ANALISIS CAIRAN PLEURA PASIEN PLEURITIS TB DI RSMH TAHUN 2023
World Health Organization (WHO) 2023 states that Indonesia ranks second in the world with the most estimated new TB cases. Extra-pulmonary TB accounted for 16% of the 7.5 million overall TB cases in the world in 2019, including TB pleurisy. The diagnosis of TB pleurisy is still an obstacle due to the gold standard examination which often gives negative results, making it less accurate. In cases of TB pleurisy, examination of MN cell values and pleural fluid ADA enzymes is carried out to help detect undiagnosed TB pleurisy because it has high specificity and accuracy. This study aims to analyze the correlation of MN and ADA cell count values used as a supporting examination for alternative diagnosis of TB pleurisy. This study used an observational analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. Data used for research needs came from RSMH medical records in 2023. Data were presented in the form of tables and diagrams. In this study, the results of the Spearman Rank correlation test between MN cell values and pleural fluid ADA enzymes of TB pleurisy patients were r=0.112 and p=0.547 (p>0.05). This shows that there is no significant correlation between MN cell values and ADA enzyme. There was no significant correlation between MN cell values and ADA enzyme in pleural fluid of patients with TB pleurisy.
