Poor physical condition of the house can cause the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis, where the physical condition of the house that does not meet the requirements strongly supports the growth of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis bacteria in the air in the house. Pulmonary tuberculosis can be transmitted through air that has been contaminated with Mycobacterium Tuberculosis bacteria. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the physical condition of the house and the incidence of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Rantau Alai District, Ogan Ilir Regency in 2023. This research is quantitative observational analytic with case-control approach. The population of this study were residents in Rantau Alai District. The research sample was 108 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Respondent data collection through interviews, observation and direct measurement of the physical condition of the house using Roll meter, Lux meter and Thermo-Hygrometer. The data analysis test performed was the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression test using the SPSS application. The results showed that there was a relationship between ventilation (p-value=0.025), lighting (p-value=0.005), humidity (p-value=0.008), temperature (p-value=0.048), wall type (p-value=0.048), floor type (p-value=0.048) and occupancy density (p-value=0.012) with the incidence of Pulmonary Tuberculosis (Tb) in Rantau Alai Subdistrict. The most dominant variable in influencing the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is the density of occupancy with a p-value of 0.037 and OR 3.103. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between the physical condition of the house and the incidence of Pulmonary TB. It is recommended to the community to maximize physical conditions in the house well.
