PERSEPSI GURU FISIKA SMA MENGENAI PENGGUNAAN GIM EDUKASI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA
This study aims to explore high school physics teachers’ perceptions of using educational games in physics instruction. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method using a structured survey consisting of 14 closed-ended items. The participants included 58 physics teachers from high schools in Musi Rawas and Ogan Ilir Regencies. Data were analyzed using the Rasch model via Winsteps software. The results indicated that overall, teachers held highly positive perceptions of educational game usage. Approximately 97% strongly agreed that educational games enhance student motivation, active participation, conceptual understanding in physics, and create an enjoyable, interactive learning atmosphere. Moreover, teachers acknowledged that educational games contribute to their digital skills development. Although most teachers responded favorably, a few expressed skepticism regarding the relevance of game content and technical complexity. These findings highlight the need for teacher training and adequate infrastructure to support educational game implementation. The study concludes that educational games have significant potential as an innovative and 21st-century-relevant physics learning media..
