SUPLEMENTASI PROBIOTIK DAN TEPUNG LIMBAH JERUK (CITRUS SINENSIS) DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP KUALITAS KIMIA AYAM BROILER
Broiler chickens are meat-type poultry renowned for their rapid growth rate and high feed conversion efficiency. One strategy to optimize broiler performance is the inclusion of feed additives. Additives such as probiotics and natural acidifiers derived from orange peel waste can serve as viable alternatives to antibiotics in the diet. Their intended functions are to enrich the intestinal microflora and establish an optimal acidic environment to enhance the activation of digestive enzymes, thereby improving the nutritional quality of broiler meat. This study was conducted from January to March 2025 in the experimental poultry facilities and the Feed and Animal Nutrition Laboratory at Sriwijaya University. A total of 100 broilers were evaluated using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) comprising five treatments with four replicates each. The treatments were as follows: P0 (control), P1 (0.8% tetracycline + 0.8% citrus waste powder), P2 (0.8% tetracycline + 1.2% citrus waste powder), P3 (0.8% probiotic + 0.8% citrus waste powder), and P4 (0.8% probiotic + 1.2% citrus waste powder). Measured parameters included moisture, protein, fat, and carbohydrate content of the meat. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) indicated that the inclusion of feed additives had a significant effect (P
