PERBEDAAN KADAR UREUM DAN KREATININ TERHADAP DERAJAT AKI PADA PASIEN SEPSIS
Sepsis is one of the leading causes of acute kidney injury (AKI). Ureum and creatinine testing is a routine diagnostic tool for acute kidney failure. This study aimed to analyze differences in ureum and creatinine levels across AKI stages in sepsis patients.This study is an analytic descriptive study using a cross sectional study design. Data were collected from the medical records of AKI sepsis patients hospitalized at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital in the period February 2019 - November 2024 who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Of the 236 AKI sepsis patients, 93 met the inclusion criteria. The majority of patients were ≥ 60 years old (60.2%) and male (55.9%). The main cause of sepsis was pneumonia (39.8%), and the most common comorbidity was hypertension (26.9%). The most common degree of AKI was grade 3 (43%). The highest ureum and creatinine levels were found in males and 45-59 years of age. There was a significant difference in ureum levels between degree 1 and degree 3, and degree 2 and degree 3, but not between degree 1 and 2. Creatinine levels had a significant difference in all degrees of AKI.There were significant differences in ureum levels between AKI stages 1 and 3, as well as between stages 2 and 3, while no significant difference was found between stages 1 and 2. For creatinine levels, significant differences were observed across all AKI stages in sepsis patients.
