PENGARUH TURUN NYA KAPASITAS PENGALIRAN AIR TERHADAP BANJIR DI DAERAH KM 12 KOTA PALEMBANG
Obstructions in the channel can cause flooding at KM 12 in Palembang City. Using various methods, this was analyzed using DEMNAS map data to see the water catchment area and plan the flow of the channel at KM12. Meanwhile, flood discharge was calculated using the Nakayasu HSS method based on maximum rainfall and flow coefficient. The results of the study show an increase in the area of flooding of 4.345 Ha from a comparison between the expansion with normal conditions of 21.218 Ha and the condition with obstructions of 25.563 Ha. This calculation uses a 10-year return period. This study concludes that the expansion of the flooded area is caused by obstacles from sedimentation and the presence of pipes in the channel. It is recommended that future studies use more complex hydrological modeling such as HEC-HMS.
