HUBUNGAN RASIO NEUTROFIL LIMFOSIT DENGAN KECEPATAN KONVERSI BTA SPUTUM PADA PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS PARU RESISTAN OBAT DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: According to data released by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2022, around 450,000 cases of TB-RO will occur throughout the world. In TB-RO patients there was an increase in the number of neutrophils and a decrease in the number of leukocytes. RNL calculations are carried out as an indicator that plays a role in reflecting the body's inflammatory response to infection. At the start of treatment, the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio in TB-RO patients will be seen to determine whether their immunity is good or not, then after therapy with OAT the speed of sputum BTA conversion in these patients will be seen, whether the conversion is early or late. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and the speed of sputum BTA conversion in drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Methods: This research is an observational analytical study using a cross-sectional research design which aims to determine the relationship between the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and the rate of sputum BTA conversion in drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. The study population included all TB-RO patients recorded in hospital medical records. The research sample consisted of 150 patients who were diagnosed with TB-RO from 2021 – 2023, and met the predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of this research will be presented in the form of tables and curves. Results: In this study, a chi-square test was carried out for inferential analysis and the results showed that there was a significant relationship between the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and the rate of sputum BTA conversion in TB-RO patients with a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.005). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and the rate of sputum BTA conversion in TB-RO patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang 2021 – 2023. Keywords: Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio, Sputum BTA Conversion, Drug Resistant TB.
