EVALUASI KOORDINASI SISTEM PROTEKSI OVER CURRENT RELAY DAN GROUND FAULT RELAY PADA PENYULANG RUSA DI JALUR DISTRIBUSI GARDU INDUK BUKIT SIGUNTANG DENGAN SIMULASI MENGGUNAKAN SOFTWARE ETAP
In the power system of the Bukit Siguntang Substation, specifically on the Rusa feeder, there is a protection system consisting of an Overcurrent Relay and a Groundfault Relay. Therefore, research was conducted on the evaluation of the coordination settings of the OCR and GFR protection system to maximize the performance of a selective and reliable protection system. Based on the value of the interference current, the calculation of the current setting (Iset) and the Time Multiplier Setting (TMS) was carried out for the OCR and GFR relays. The results of the manual calculation were validated through simulation using ETAP software and compared with data from PLN and SPLN 64:1985 standard. The results of the manual calculation of TMS (SI) for OCR on the 70 kV incoming transformer are 0.424, the 20 kV outgoing transformer is 0.177, and the Rusa feeder is 0.074. Meanwhile, for GFR in a 70 kV incoming transformer of 0.404, a 20 kV outgoing transformer of 0.235, and a Rusa feeder of 0.101, it is proven to be within the range of SPLN standards. The ETAP simulation confirmed the selectivity of the system, with the Coordination Time Interval (CTI) between the main and backup relays recorded at 376 ms (0.376 s) for three-phase interference and 304 ms (0.304 s) for single-phase interference to the ground. This CTI value meets the standard criteria (0.2–0.4 seconds) and is proven to have no overlap on the TCC curve. It was concluded that the setting of the calculation results was optimal, although there were significant differences with PLN data, especially in the Iset GFR, which was indicated due to different operational considerations and security factors.
