PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA FLIPCHART "PENUMPAS STUNTING" TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG PRAKTIK PEMBERIAN MP-ASI
Introduction: Complementary feeding (CF) refers to food provided to children aged 6–24 months to meet their nutritional needs when breast milk alone is insufficient. Studies indicate that many mothers of children aged 6–12 months do not provide CF appropriately. Knowledge and attitudes of the mother significantly influence the accuracy of CF practices for children in this age group. To enhance the mother’s knowledge, various interventions can be implemented, including the use of visual media such as flipcharts. Therefore, this study aims to examine the impact of using the "PENUMPAS Stunting" flipchart on mother’s knowledge regarding CF practices. Method: This study is a quantitative study using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sampling technique used is consecutive sampling, targeting mothers with children aged 6–12 months in the working area of Puskesmas 1 Ulu, Palembang City, involving 48 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, a non-parametric statistical method. Result: The majority of respondents were aged 26–45 years (70.8%), nearly half were high school graduates (45.8%), most were unemployed (89.6%), and the majority had more than one children (68.8%). Before the intervention, nearly half of the respondents (47.9%) had moderate knowledge of CF practices, while after the intervention, the majority (54.2%) demonstrated good knowledge.
