STRATEGI MEMPERTAHANKAN SOLIDARITAS SOSIAL DI KAMPUNG ARAB AL-MUNAWAR KOTA PALEMBANG

This thesis is entitled "Strategy for Maintaining Social Solidarity in Al-Munawar Arab Village, Palembang City". This research aims to determine the meaning of social solidarity for the people of Al-Munawar Arab Village and strategies for maintaining social solidarity in Al-Munawar Arab Village, Palembang City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Data were collected by observing and interviewing & informants. The theory used is social control theory by Travis Hirschi. The results of this research show that: 1) The meaning of social solidarity for the people of Al-Munawar Arab Village is a sense of family, a sense of togetherness, and a sense of unity and integrity 2) The strategy of the people of Al- Munawar Arab Village, Palembang City in maintaining social solidarity is through good communication and togetherness, through existing traditions, and through indirect teaching regarding moral education based on Islamic religious values which is given to the next generation.
