PERTUKARAN SOSIAL ANTARA PENJUAL DAN PEMBELI DI PASAR KALANGAN REBO KECAMATAN INDRALAYA UTARA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
The study examines Social Exchange between Sellers and Buyers in the Rebo Market North Indralaya Sub-District, Ogan Ilir Regency. Traditional markets are shopping places that bring together sellers and buyers, markets as a place that provides a variety of daily necessities in which there are not only buying and selling activities, but also there are underlying social aspects such as social interaction, cooperation, exchanging information and bargaining so that it can improve social relations for sellers and buyers. This research aims to find out and understand how the process of social exchange between sellers and buyers in the Rebo Market. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with a case study research strategy. The data in this study were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with ten informants, and documentation. Furthermore, this study was analyzed using the social exchange theory approach from George C. Homans. The results of this study show that the buying and selling process carried out between sellers and buyers in the Rebo Market has resulted in social exchange, because there is a reciprocal relationship in it and there are elements of social costs, social rewards and social benefits that can provide value and benefits for both parties.
