This research discusses the change in the welfare level of rice farming household due to the long drought in Kijang Ulu Village Kayu Agung Sub-District Ogan Komering Ilir District. The objectives of this research were (1) to calculate changes in household income of rice farmers in Kijang Ulu Village during the normal season and the long dry season, (2) to analyze changes in the welfare level of rice farming households in Kijang Ulu Village due to the long dry season, and (3) to analyze the level of participation of rice farmers in mitigation efforts due to the long dry season in Kijang Ulu Village. This research was conducted in June 2024 with a total sample size of 45. The research methods used were survey and interview methods with the help of questionnaires, while the sampling method used simple random sampling method. The results showed that there was a 29.36% change in farmers' income due to the long drought. The income of rice farmers during the normal season of Rp19,081,244 decreased to Rp13,477,800. Consumption expenditure of farmer households both food and non-food decreased by 15.00% or Rp2,872,000. The Exchange Rate of Farmer Household Income also changed by 36.66% due to the long drought, NTPRT during the normal season was 1.35 or >1 which indicates that farmer households are in surplus or prosperous.
